Our Systems

We believe that for any movement of God, a certain amount of structure and order is beneficial; specifically in recruiting and our church planting process.

Recruiting

Our recruiting for new planters will be done through many possible sources:
Our website – www.mission1618.com
Word of mouth
Training up leaders within Mission1618 churches through Church-Based Training programs, such as the Leadership Development Institute (LDI) at Hope Community Church
Recruiting from seminaries in region, primarily Bethel in St. Paul and Trinity in Chicago
National searches through the Acts 29 Network, Converge USA, Global Church Advancement, Evangelical Free Church of America, etc.
Advertising with reputable magazines (Christianity Today, Denominational rags, Relevant, Field and Stream, Cigar Aficionado)

Church Planting Process
Starting a church is a messy process. However, to give some guidance to new churches, we have divided the process into 7 sections:
1. Pre-Assessment
2. Assessment
3. Plan
4. Implement
5. Accountability
6. Launch
7. Post-Launch

Please consult our Church Planting Process page or click on each of the stages individually to get more information.

"Nothing else—not crusades, outreach programs, parachurch ministries, growing megachurches, congregational consulting, nor church renewal processes—will have the consistent impact of dynamic, extensive church planting."
